Terms of Service

Effective date: July 26, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Crisp iOS application and related services ("the Service"), operated by Network Leads, LLC ("we", "us"). By downloading or using Crisp you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What Crisp is — and isn't

Crisp helps you track calories, macronutrients, exercise, and weight, and optionally share daily progress with people you choose.

Crisp is not a medical service. Nothing in the App — including calorie targets, macro suggestions, Coach messages, and AI-generated nutrition estimates — is medical, dietary, or health advice. Nutritional values are estimates and may be inaccurate, whether they come from community food databases, barcode data, or AI photo analysis. Always consult a qualified professional before making significant changes to your diet or exercise, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have a history of disordered eating. Never rely on Crisp's estimates where accuracy is medically critical.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use Crisp. The core App works without an account. Optional features use your Apple ID: iCloud sync (Sign in with Apple) and the social features (an iCloud-based profile with a handle you choose). You are responsible for activity under your profile.

3. AI meal scanning

• Meal photos you submit are processed by a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) on our behalf to estimate the foods, portions, and nutrition in the image, as described in our Privacy Policy.
• Results are estimates and can be wrong — in item identification, portion size, and nutritional values. You are responsible for reviewing them before relying on them.
• Scanning is subject to usage allowances (a one-time free trial, and a monthly allowance for Pro subscribers). Allowances may not be circumvented; we may adjust them prospectively with notice in the App.
• You must only submit photos you have the right to use, and must not submit photos of people, identity documents, or unlawful content.

4. Crisp Pro subscriptions

• Crisp Pro is an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) purchased through Apple's App Store. Current pricing is shown in the App before purchase.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms; we cannot issue App Store refunds directly.
• Pro currently includes a monthly AI scan allowance and unlimited saved foods and meal combos. Feature sets may evolve; material reductions will not apply retroactively to an already-paid period.

5. Social features and acceptable use

If you join the social features, your handle, display name, profile photo, and (when sharing is on) daily summaries are visible to other users as described in the Privacy Policy. You agree not to:

• impersonate another person, or use a handle that infringes another's rights;
• use profile names or photos that are unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or harassing;
• use nudges or follows to harass, spam, or stalk anyone;
• probe, scrape, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service, or attempt to bypass usage limits or security measures.

We may remove content or restrict social access that violates these rules. You can delete your social profile at any time in the App, which removes your public data as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create in Crisp (logs, photos, profile details). You grant us the limited license needed to operate the Service — e.g., displaying your profile and daily summaries to your followers and processing meal photos for analysis. This license ends when the relevant content is deleted from the Service.

7. Third-party services

Crisp relies on services we don't control: Apple (App Store, iCloud/CloudKit, HealthKit, push notifications, Sign in with Apple), Anthropic (AI analysis), and public food databases (e.g., Open Food Facts, USDA). Community-sourced food data may be inaccurate. These providers' availability affects Service availability, and their terms govern their services.

8. Intellectual property

The App, its design, and its content (excluding your content and third-party data) are owned by Network Leads, LLC and protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, per the App Store terms. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the App Store copy of the App.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT NUTRITIONAL DATA OR AI ESTIMATES ARE ACCURATE, THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT DATA WILL NEVER BE LOST — KEEP BACKUPS (E.G., ICLOUD SYNC).

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NETWORK LEADS, LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, HEALTH OUTCOMES, OR LOST PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR US $10 IF YOU PAID NOTHING). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; these apply to the fullest extent permitted.

11. Termination

You may stop using Crisp at any time; deleting the App removes local data, and in-App tools remove social data. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service (or social features) for violation of these Terms, with the effect on paid periods governed by Apple's policies.

12. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify the Service and these Terms. Material changes take effect when posted on this page with a new effective date; continued use after that constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Network Leads, LLC is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes shall be brought in the competent courts of that jurisdiction — except where the law of your country of residence grants you mandatory consumer protections and venue.
